New Year phrase, “Am up for the challenge”.
When we are in our comfort zone, we never want to be tested in the hardships of life.
“Let me be and enjoy my life please”, we say.
But what if you stay in that comfort zone for so long till it’s too late?
You start looking into other people’s lives and either envy their progress or try to imitate their lifestyle.
But you forget one thing, you can never simulate another person’s life.
There are invisible drives that are projected to that person’s growth.
As quoted by Oscar Wilde, “Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.“
Stand up to your own challenges.
You have a simple job?
Try something new and explore on something that will make you come out of your cocoon and get you a raise or a better job opportunity.
On your weekends you just sleep, watch television and eat?
Why not explore some sites in your country even if it’s walking in the park and sitting somewhere with a book, explore some nice restaurant and indulge yourself or help the needy.
Someone is making you look as daft as ever in your work place?
Plan down on the skills that you need to add to yourself to make you step up. You will feel good.
Paulo Coelho teaches us that we learn many lessons from our challenges, experiences and inspirations from life. We can never be trained to live.
Life exposes us to so much without a warning.
We should embrace not just the happy endeavors but also the challenges more.
