Talking about love in the month of love is just perfect.
I read The Fault in our Stars novel last year, but I haven’t yet found a YA novel that beats it yet.
Where will I start?
How I remember reading this book with so much joy and yet still tearing up like a baby.
I knew I was an emotional type, wait till I shared my sentiments on the book with my friends.
I was so amazed by how mutual the feelings were. Both my male and female friends cried at some point, and laughed at some point.
Amazing what love does to us.
There is no other keyword I would give to this book other than love.
Hazel and Gus showed how love can conquer it all.
John Green matched these two characters in such a glorious way, from how they met, where they met, what they went through and still the strong bond of love never ceasing.
We mistake love with so many things, that is why we end up saying that love is not real, worthless and other mean things.
Love is beautiful, selfless and brings joy.
If you are in love, and you are always hurting and crying and feeling displaced in life, that is not love.
Go through your life pages because that is definitely something else.
It may be lust, desperation, obsession, you name it!
But as long as love is natural, it will always be as pure as it gets.
Happy new love month and Valentine’s Day ahead.
Take some time, keep yourself cosy on your sofa, hold onto a nice cup of tea or coffee or even green tea (your choice), and flip through this beautiful book this February.
And if you are not a sucker for books, John Green got you sorted. There is the Fault in our Stars movie.
*A letter to my Love*
“…I’m in love with you, and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you…” #Stolen
Happy Reading 💚
