Once in a while, in my quiet time, I try to think of the things I fear happening in my life.
Then, when I realize that it is easily possible for them to occur, I brush them off very fast.
However, that does not solve anything because the thoughts tend to come often than not.
The sad thing about these thoughts being a reality is that we quickly conclude them to mistakes, accidents or even bad omens.
We fear them, so they must be terrible since they bring no joy.
Unplanned and undesirable.
There is a statement that is forwarded to a man that is leading astray.
‘Get Control of yourself‘.
Do we fully have control of ourselves?
If we do, then why can’t we prevent bad stuff from happening to us?
Life’s main control is not within us.
Whether we like it or not, bad things will come at some point in time.
But what categorizes them as bad?
Pain, sadness, confusion – thus life in hell.
But turning the coin to tails, some of these accidents end up forming routes to happiness and hope.
In short, no pain no gain.
These accidents are a means to teach and enlighten not only our minds but our souls.
For those who have learned from their accidents, their positivity has opened new doors.
To be clear it is not easy peasy lemon squeezy. No!
In the beginning comes hardships and cycles of depression but depending on one’s surrounding, it can guide him or her find the light at the end of the tunnel or get buried to the graves.
Help from our families and friends, the books we read, our mentality, the humility of acceptance, the desire of finding answers, the thirst of knowledge and wisdom – these are but a few of the ways of gaining hope from our accidents.
Allyson, from Just One Day by Gayle Forman, got caught up in her own accidents.
She struggled through acceptance but at the end she had to find answers to restore herself and calm her soul.
During the journey to restoration, she learnt more about herself than she had from her small life cocoon.
At the drop of a hat, she was satisfied and appreciated the accident that occurred on just that one day.
Accidents, looked through a positive mind, are lessons to our souls and answers to the unknown questions.
Happy Reading 💚
